We shed what was left of our summer skin

Suddenly I find November is drawing to a close. Snow is forecast tomorrow. Winter crept over me while I was still getting used to the idea that it was time to put away my summer clothes and unearth musty smelling jumpers from the depths of the wardrobe. I think I've been kidding myself for about 6 weeks that we were still in the early days of autumn.

But what a glorious autumn it's been, full of the sort of sunshine and rich colour that should only exist in an Edward Hopper painting.

"See the leaves fall as they turn,
Green into a golden evening
Slowly, so there is no change
Does not feel like the end of something"

- Josh Ritter, You've got the moon
